Why I Do This Work
I believe storytelling is one of the most powerful ways to preserve truth. I use oral history to document the voices of people who are often left out of the historical record. I listen, record, translate, and share stories that speak to humanity, loss, and connection.
I am an Asian American woman committed to learning about humanity from the perspectives of the humanities and social sciences and using those insights to build a better future. For me, oral history is not just about the past. It is about understanding the present and imagining something better.
